Bio
Jakob Kolb (b. 1992, Deutschlandsberg) is a Vienna-based interdisciplinary artist and musician whose work navigates memory, transformation, and the ephemeral through immersive installations, audiovisual media, and sculptural forms. His practice explores themes of otherness, nostalgia, myths, and the interplay between natural and artificial systems, drawing from personal narratives, cultural memory, and speculative futures.

Kolb's creative process often begins with drawings, evolving into paintings, sculptures, and spatial installations. He experiments with organic and synthetic materials, shaping forms that merge symbolic and historical contexts. His works frequently bring paintings into dialogue with sculptural and architectural elements, creating immersive environments that invite open-ended interpretation.

In addition to his artistic practice, Kolb is an active musician. Under the moniker On Bells, he is producing, mixing, and mastering music productions on the Austrian and international scene. He has composed soundtracks for performances, theatre productions, short films, documentaries, and sound art installations.
